HISTORY OF CARTU GROUP DEVELOPMENT
- August, 1996 - Four Georgian and international holding companies founded JSC CARTU GROUP and transfered managing portfolios of several Georgian companies to it;
- September, 1996 - New production facility is mounted in foot-wear production company ISANI CARTU. Famous Italian PRIMIGI is chosen as partner. The key specialists and managers participate in training in Italy;
- The end of 1996 - JSC CARTU GROUP becomes the main shareholder in TV Broadcasting Company - 9th CHANNEL;
- January, 1997 - JSC CARTU GROUP takes participation in foundation of JSC CARTU BANK;
- April, 1997 - Dairy and ice-cream manufacturer CARTU UNIVERSALI starts its operations;
- 1998 - INTER-SERVICE LTD is founded - the biggest private construction company in Georgia. Today this company constructs Hotel Business Center in TBILISI;
- The beginning of 2001 - JSC CARTU BANK acquires ABSOLUTE BANK and also becomes the premium representative of VISA INTERNATIONAL in Georgia;
- July, 2001 - HCP COMPANY LTD is established. It acquires three plants for hazelnut processing and 2000 hectares for hazelnut and rare specimen vine cultivation.
- September, 2001 - Founded INSURANCE COMPANY CARTU LTD. The main activities are insurance and reinsurance operations.
